The University of Louisville Marching Band announces openings for two Feature Twirler positions. These candidates represent the University of Louisville and the City of Louisville on campus,as well as at nationally televised sporting events.

Scholarships are available including full tuition and uniform expenses.

In answer to your questions:

Is your school considering not having twirlers? No. We will probably
continue to have them as long as the ability of those auditioning is good
enough to warrant continuing. If the pool dries up, so to speak, then we
would have to discontinue them.

What are the requirements to get on to the Auburn team? An audition. The
audition consists of basic twirls, a solo dance/twirl routine of the
student's choice, and the teaching of a group routine.

Does the Applicant have to have Twirled in High School? Not necessarily,
but almost all of them have.
